History of BSI
BSI was established to provide quality behavioral services to individuals with developmental disabilities residing in Northwest Indiana. BSI was founded in April 1998 by Debra Farrar-Schneider, who recognized the demand for effective and efficient services. Dr. Farrar-Schneider is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst, who specializes in the assessment and treatment of individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities.
Valparaiso was selected as the location of BSI's first office. As BSI grew, services were expanded to include Music Therapy, as well as Couple and Family Therapy. This development allowed BSI to offer a comprehensive treatment approach to meet the needs of our growing clientele. In 2005, BSI opened an office in South Bend, which was followed by the opening of the Griffith office in 2007.
Over the years, BSI has built a solid reputation by offering specialized services that are beneficial and respectful to the client and others involved in the client's life. BSI employs professionals who possess great integrity and maintain a high standard of quality care. In addition, BSI serves as an approved internship site for Behavior Analysis, Music Therapy, and Marriage, Couple and Family Therapy.
